What’s Next?
COVID hit everyone around the globe hard, I don’t think there is a single person not affected by it. Prior to COVID-19 I was living in New York City prepping to open my first off-off Broadway show with Alpha NYC Theatre as Juror #8 in “Twelve Angry Jurors” and in rehearsals for another project, but COVID shut Broadway down along with many other businesses. I couldn’t afford to stay in my apartment in NYC with no means to pay, so I packed my bags and moved back in with my parents down in Tampa, Florida. What I thought would be a short lapse turned into a year. In that year, there were ups and downs, but I decided to focus on what I can do for myself to keep my hopes and dreams alive. I started teaching dance once again, something I have always loved to do was teach kids. Passing on knowledge is rewarding and reminds me to keep my inner child alive. I also have taken up painting and drawing again which has given me a creative outlet for the time being.
COVID-19 may have stunted my path or so I thought because during that time it has taught me to check in more with myself and to cherish the process of growth. Now that I am vaccinated I am beyond excited and ready to make my move to LA in March 2022. See you soon LA.
